How to Run Tomcat 7,8,9 in Windows XP,7,8,10

Tomcat Download – http://tomcat.apache.org/

JDK Download – Link

JRE – Link

Steps Need to be Followed :

Step 1: Install JDK 1.7 or up
Step 2: Install Tomcat 7.0(or up)
Step 3: Set the environment variables CATALINA_HOME & JAVA_HOME
Locate the Tomcat and JDK root directory and then environment variable can be set in control panel-> System -> Advance -> Environment Variables
Example:
CATALINA_HOME=C:\My Downloaded files\apache-tomcat-7.0.56 (Root Folder of Tomcat)
JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45 (Root Folder of JDK)
Step 4: Run startup.bat of Tomcat
In command prompt run startup.bat located in following directory,
CATALINA_HOME/bin
Step 5: Check the local Apache Home page
Check http://localhost:8080/ url in any browser and it will show Apache Tomcat start page.
